Hello and Welcome!
I am an artist, a painter inspired by nature. Ever since I was a child I have loved creating, whether it be with a paintbrush and casting those first strokes upon a canvas, or the feeling of fresh cut flowers being artistically arranged in a vase of water.   I have  also been a florist since I was 16 but my true passion is with a paintbrush!

Bringing nature into a painting, is what I've  been inspired to do for the past 20 years. But lately, I've realized how therapeutic and powerful it can be to be surrounded by both. There is beauty and peace found in the world around us, so why not bring some of it indoors. So my passion is to create spaces, that will help us to grow, heal and inspire us to live a more fully authentic life. You can never go wrong with bringing nature into the space you live in.

My work is mainly inspired by nature but I also love creating pieces that are whimsical and fun as well. I enjoy working the most with acrylics and watercolors. Many of my paintings are created from trips to the mountains, hikes through the forest and even visits to garden shops. I am always looking for inspiration through nature so many of my paintings show my love for the outdoors and my love for birds as well as flowers.

I am also a Mom, I love old houses, playing in the garden, photography, decorating, writing, reading, creating soulspace and searching for beauty to paint everywhere.

Through my art, I hope to inspire others and hope they find beauty and joy from my work.

Exciting news: I am now a licensed artist and working for a  company where I get to create home decor

I have also recently released a new line of greeting cards for all occasions where you can customize your own sentiments inside the card!  Just click on the "Greeting Cards" link above to view.

One of my proudest achievements was the creation of the New Whale Tail License Plate for California! It was released in 2011 and is still currently available to purchase!

With my painting and a graphic designer's finishing touches, I helped create the beautiful new image of a humpback whale tail emerging from the beautiful blue waters of the California coast!  If you are able to purchase a Whale Tail license plate, your dollar directly benefits the coast and our connection to it. The DMV distributes funds to support the California Coastal Commission, the State Coastal Conservancy, and the California State Environmental License Plate Fund. In turn, they support: California Coastal Cleanup Day, Coastal Access and Recreation, The Adopt A Beach Program, Other Education, Protection, and Restoration Efforts and an array of programs that inspire children and adults to value and take care of our precious coastline. I am so grateful to be apart of a cause that helps directly benefit coastal conservation, education, and recreation programs.

I  have also done work for Mercer Caverns, where they hired me to be the "cave artist."  I made a map of the cavern come to life, designed posters, brochure holders and t-shirts.  I also illustrated two inventions created by J. Paoluccio at the University of the Pacific.  I have studied under several art mentors including Moira Donohoe,  Maryjo Koch; noted Illustrator of Botanicals, Mario Moreno, Jennifer Barrows and Donna Snyder.

I am always up for any challenge and am continuously learning and progressing.  Happily married and a Mom of two  children, I  look forward each day to creating.  My forte are landscapes, but I specifically enjoy studying the movement of water and the way the light hits the surface.  I also enjoys painting animals, waterscapes, pet portraits and more.  I have even painted pictures of sports cars.

If you are interested in purchasing prints of my art, please click on "Shop" above and you will find prints of all sizes.   Some Original artwork is for sale as well.  I am always adding new work !

To those of you that have purchased my art, THANK YOU!  It is truly my passion to create one of kind pieces of art that can be enjoyed!  That is truly why I love what I do, because I feel like through my art, I can add  beauty and joy in the world.

I have also just become available for commissioned pieces!  Please feel free to send me an e-mail and I will gladly work with you in creating the perfect affordable piece!   Just click on "contact" and send me a message!
